Hazardous Weather Outlook issued at 3:36pmET, Wednesday, September 26, 2012: "A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT AS A FRONT LINGERS OVER THE OHIO VALLEY. ANY THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP WILL PRODUCE CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING...AND COULD PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL. THE BEST CHANCE FOR STORMS FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT WILL BE ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY.."
The National Weather Service in Louisville, KY, has issued the following forecast for Columbia, KY. This forecast from update at 11:56pmCT, September 26, 2012
Overnight - A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind 3 to 5 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday - A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 8 mph in the morning.

Thursday night - A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
