ACHS Boy's Travel to Bowling Green Country Club Riley Grant leads Indians with outstanding round of 81. Team finishes 8th in tournament under tough playing conditions at Bowling Green Country Club, 251 Beech Bend RD, Bowling Green, KY, against some of best golf teams in the state. By Steve Burton, Adair County High School Boys Golf Coach Special CM Sports Story The ACHS Boy's traveled to Bowling Green Country Club on Saturday, September 8, 2012 to compete in the Bowling Green Invitation Tournament. The Indians came away with an impressive 8th Place finish with a score of 340 while battling the tough playing conditions. Riley Grant led the Indians with an outstanding round of 81. Korey Hundley and Alex Durham carded rounds of 85, and Trey Garmon and Daniel Rarey each turned in rounds of 89. Coach's Comments: Wow, what a tough day. This was the toughest playing conditions that I have ever seen a tournament played in. The course was playing tougher than any course I have seen and on top of that, our kids battled the wind and rain all morning. It is an honor just to get invited to play in this tournament, but to finish 8th is outstanding for us. The best the state had to offer were there and we hung in there with them. Next Match: The Adair County Boys Golf team will be competing at Lincoln Homestead State Park, Lincoln Homestead State Park, 5079 Lincoln Park RD, Springfield, KY on Tuesday, September 11, KY in the Heartland Conference Tournament. Tee times start at 8:40amCT. Coach Steve Burton This story was posted on 2012-09-09 19:03:23
