Witnesses long line of farm vehicles supporting FFA

All three of her children have benefitted from Ag

Martha Lacy writes:
I just witnessed the long line of people who are supporting our Adair Co. AG Department, as they came rolling up to the high school this afternoon.

I am a mom of three children who were in this class and they all three have benefited greatly from what they learned in it.

I want the Ag department to know that our family is standing totally in favor of the third teacher being hired. As an instructional assistant in the schools system, I have been in the three classes with three different students and all the classes teach a different area of Ag.

Mr Rexroat, he has the plants and vegetable part. Mr Hancock, is the animal section and Mr.Harvey's was the building and welding.

I work with special need students and each time I was in these classes the teachers were very helpful and made sure that we were given a chance just like the other students. I don't understand how doing away with one of the classes is going to be fair to these students who have been in Ag for their high school career, they can't finish what they have started.

Ag is more than what most people think the class is. They teach a lot of things that help on down in life. If we want to eat we need Ag to stay. -Martha Lacy
