Jefferson Co., KY, escapee apprehended in Campbellsville, KY

Officer Ryan Jewell arrests Tirrell T. Barbour after short foot chase. Barbour faces multiple charges and was lodged in the Taylor County Regional Jail

News from the Campbellsville, KY, Police Department

The Campbellsville Police Department apprehended a Fugitive from Justice, Wednesday August 15, 2012. at approximately 10:52pmET. Officer Ryan Jewell arrested Tirrell T. Barbour; 310 Candace Street; Campbellsville, KY after observing erratic and reckless driving by Tirrell.

Officer Jewell first noticed, Tirrell operating a 1983 white Buick on South Central Avenue who then turned onto Kerr Street and proceeded to South Carden Street in a reckless manner. Officer Jewell activated his emergency lights as Tirrell sped away toward Eggers Street where he abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. A search of the area located Tirrell on Anna Court where he was taken into custody without incident.

Tirrell was lodged in the Taylor County Regional Jail for traffic related charges of (1) Careless Driving; (2) No Operators License; (3) Failure to Produce Proof of Insurance; and (4) Fleeing or Evading Police (on foot). Further inquiry and investigation into Tirrell determined he was wanted in Jefferson County for Escape 2nd Degree.
