Brake failure blamed in Mon., Aug. 13, 2012 injury collision At Campbellsville Street & Fairground Street Intersection From Columbia, KY, Police Department On Monday, August 13, 2012 at around 3pmCT, the Columbia Police Department responded to an injury accident on Campbellsville Street at the intersection of Fairground Street. The accident occurred when a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Bridgette Wade, 20, of Columbia, KY, who was traveling west on Fairground Street, failed to stop at a red light due to possible brake failure. Wade's vehicle was struck by a 2003 Chevrolet 2500 crew cab pick-up truck driven by James Crowe, 59, of North Anderson, IN which was traveling south on Campbellsville Street. Crowe along with two passengers and Wade were transported to Westlake Regional Hospital by Adair EMS. The accident was investigated by CPD officer Charles Greer who was assisted by Detective Tracy McCarol and Sergeant Jr. Murphy.
