Junior Clay (J.R.) Lair, Metcalfe Co. KY, (d. June 25, 2012)

He was an Army veteran and was a resident of Putnam County, Tennessee, at the time of his death. He leaves nine direct llving descendants.

Junior Clay (J.R.) Lair age 69 of Cookeville, TN died Monday June 25, 2012 at his home.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT, Thursday, June 28, 2012, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:30pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, June 27, from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.



He was born in Metcalfe County KY. He was an Army Veteran and the son of the late Dallas Clay and Laura Mae Jessie Lair.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son: Curtis (Serena) Lair of Cookeville, TN

  • Daughters: Stacey (Jason) Pickett of Missouri; Kimberly Lair and fiance Jason Parker of Cookeville, TN

  • Six grandchildren: Cody, Chandler, Patrick, Chelsea, Paige, and Nina

  • One brother: Floyd (Kathy) Lair of Edmonton, KY

  • One sister" Janice Sue Jennings of Edmonton, KY

  • And a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Helen Marie Forrest, and brother in law Carlos Jennings.
