Moore holds the Lindsey Wilson record for career wins with 53 and appearances with 93 Click on headline for complete story w/photo(s) By Dan White News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY. -- Former Lindsey Wilson softball standout pitcher Leigh Ann Moore was inducted into the Kentucky Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame on Saturday at the Ramada Plaza in Louisville, KY. Moore graduated from Hopkins County Central High School in 2004 where she lettered in softball for four years. She led the Storm to three district championships and back-to-back regional titles. She pitched the Storm to a fifth-place finish in the State tournament in 2003 and a third-place finish in 2004. Moore was named to the All-District and All-Region teams in 2002, 2003 and 2004 and to the All-State Tournament Team in 2003 and 2004. Moore was also named the Kentucky Prep Section 1 Softball Player of the Year in 2003 and 2004. Leigh Ann holds several Hopkins County Central softball records, including a 0.30 season ERA, 19 strikeouts in a game, and 809 career strikeouts. Moore graduated cum laude from Lindsey Wilson with a Bachelor of the Arts in English. She was a Presidential Scholar, made Dean's List every semester and was selected as the English Student of the Year in 2009, as well as the Writing Center Consultant of the Year, among several other academic honors. In December 2011, Moore graduated law school cum laude with a Juris Doctorate degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law. Leigh Ann has since passed the Kentucky bar examination and has been sworn in by the Kentucky Supreme Court. Moore currently resides in Richmond, KY, and is an attorney for the Appalachian Research and Defense Fund, Kentucky's largest legal aid organization. In Moore's four seasons pitching for the Blue Raiders, she put together some of the strongest seasons in program history. Moore finished with a 53-24 career record in the circle with the 53 wins tying for the most in school history. Other top marks in the record books are her 93 appearances and 47 complete games. Batters struggled at the plate against Moore as she amassed 485 strikeouts in her career which rank second while tallying a 1.87 ERA which is good for seventh on the all-time list. Moore finished her playing career well decorated with awards and honors. She was a three time First-Team All Mid-South Conference selection, as well as a three-time Academic All-MSC recipient.
