Joyce Reeder photo: A great historical find!

Identities of daughters now added to photo

Mike Watson writes:
Thank you Joyce Reeder for sending this photo to CM! I was thrilled to see a photo of my kin that I'd not see before!! William Allen "Bill" Watson and Araminta "Minnie" Bunch were our great-grandparents (Steve, Stanley, and I), and their only son, Milton, was our grandfather--I have never before seen a photo of our grandfather as a young man!!

The daughters, from left to right in photo, were: Lilly, who married Mont Petty (her daughter, Ella Hazel Petty Bunch, died only recently,); second is Ella, who married Eli A. Rabon, (Aunt Ella, as we called her, died about 1990 at age 100); Lela, your grandmother, married James I. "Jim" Reeder; and Milton, who married Mary Lee "Mollie" Reeder, sister of "Uncle Jim," whom I remember so very well.

Thank you for sharing this great historical find!! Mike Watson --Mike Watson

Favorite old photo: Watson family

2012-05-21 - Melson Ridge Road, Adair County, KY - Photo from Joyce Reeder collection; photographer unknown.
Joyce Reeder sends this favorite old photo
from the Melson Ridge area of South Adair County, KY. In front are William (Bill) Watson and wife, Arminta (Minnie) Bunch Watson. Their daughters are in the back, but I don't know which is which. (From Mike Watson: left to right: Lily, Ella, and Lela.) I am thinking the one in the middle is Aunt Ella but not sure. Son is William Watson. Lela Watson Reeder is my grandmother. The family lived in the Melson Ridge area of Adair County, Kentucky. I would appreciate it if anyone could identify the daughters. Thank you. - Joyce Reeder Clicking ReadMore accesses letter from Historian Mike Watson with more on photo.
