AC Donahue Announces Candidacy for KY's 15th Senate District

Promises to be a tireless advocate

Somerset, KY - AC Donahue announces that he is a candidate for Kentucky's 15th Senate District representing Adair, Casey, Pulaski and Russell counties. That seat is currently being held by Senator Vernie McGaha. Commenting on the Senator's upcoming retirement AC said, "for 15 years, Senator McGaha has been a strong conservative voice in Frankfort, and a tireless advocate for his constituents." AC went on to say, "Senator McGaha's leadership and wisdom will be missed by all."



]AC likes to say that he is "the right choice" amongst a crowded field of candidates. He is the right choice because Donahue is a proven leader and a true conservative.

AC's leadership skills were honed during his seven years of service in the US Army. Traits such as honor, discipline and professionalism are now part of his core being. During his service to our country, AC received numerous medals and commendations. AC then put those leadership skills to use in the business world.

AC Donahue started his business - Donahue Law Group - in 1996. Since then, he has grown the business to 14 employees, and he has offices in two states. In 1999, AC's company was featured in Sam's Club "Source" magazine. AC is also a leader in his area of specialization. He has several published articles, and is regularly called upon to speak at conferences across the United States.

AC Donahue has been a leader in his community too. AC served as the 2003 President of the Somerset/Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce. From 1999 to the present, the Pulaski County Bar Association has put their trust in AC as the Managing Trustee of the Pulaski County Law Library. Not only is AC Donahue a proven leader, he is a true conservative as well.

AC Donahue is not shy to tell you about his faith in God. He has led two highly successful men's ministries, and served in several leadership roles with Promise Keepers. AC has played percussion with praise and worship teams for over 15 years.He has been on Christian missions trips to unstable countries like Pakistan (2004) and Southern Sudan (2009).

AC Donahue is a family man too. He has been faithfully married to his wife of 23 years. He and his wife have three children (20, 18 and 4). AC and his wife chose to home school their children all the way through high school. AC's son is a Junior at the University of Kentucky and his daughter is a Freshmen at Lindsey Wilson College.

AC Donahue is a proud member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). As an attorney, AC attended the NRA's National Firearms Law Seminar. He is also staunchly pro-life. AC's family has actively supported their local pregnancy center through volunteer work and with financial gifts.
