AC School District kindergarten registration April 6 & 20, 2012 Children who become five years of age on or before October 1, are eligible to enroll By Alan Reed, Federal Programs/Media Relations News from Adair County School District The Adair County Schools will be registering kindergarten students for the 2012-2013 school year on two dates, both 8am-2pmCT, Friday, April 6, 2012, and Friday, April 20, 2012. Registration will be held at Colonel William Casey Elementary, 220 General John Adair Drive, Columbia, KY. Students do not have to be present during registration and parents are reminded they must bring the following documents with them:
Physical and vision exam forms completed for Head Start or preschool can be used to meet the kindergarten physical and vision exam requirement. Brenda Mann, Director of Student Personnel Services says the school district is excited about receiving new students. "It is powerful knowing the awesome responsibility we bear in preparing these new students to lead productive lives," she said. While the registration process can seem difficult, the school district is happy to provide help and suggestions. Questions about Kindergarten registration should be directed to Kim Barnett, counselor at Col. Wm. Casey Elementary (384-3367) or Alissa Barnes, counselor at Adair Co. Elementary School at 384-0077.
