COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson College senior Chase Spreen hit an 80-foot shot as time expired to lift the Blue Raiders to a 79-78 win over Georgetown College, Georgetown, KY, on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive Columbia, KY. Spreen, a Bedford, IN, native, finished with 23 points, nine rebounds in the Blue Raiders upset over the No. 5-ranked Tigers. The final score was the Blue Raiders' only lead of the night.

Lindsey Wilson junior Kalen Kimberland, Columbia, KY, finished with 17 points - scored on a layup while Kimberland hit the second biggest three of the night nine seconds later from the deep right corner to cut the Blue Raider deficit to 78-76 with three seconds left.

Chase Spreen launches shot heard (and seen) around world

Bedford, Indiana native Chase Spreen, made Columbia, KY an even more important sports center as he launched a three pointer from three-quarter court to give the Lindsey Wilson Men's Basketball Team its only lead of the night and a victory over NAIA No. 5 in the nation Georgetown College, Georgetown, KY. The feat got international attention and was called the No. 2 play of the day by ESPN, a television channel for sports. Columbia, KY's Kalen Kimberland shared in the heroics with another three pointer, which inspired the dramatic finish. The game was played before 369 fans in Lindsey Wilson College's Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive Columbia, KY.
