She was a member of a highly regarded Mannsville, KY area family, a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, KY, and a member of the Mannsville United Methodist Church.

Roca Rice, Taylor Co., KY (1919-2011) died at 12:40pmET, Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in Radcliff, KY.

Visitation will be 5pm-8pmET/4pm-7pmCT, Friday, June 17, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY. The funeral service will be at 11amET/10amCT, Saturday, June 18, 2011, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. Richard Lowe. Burial will be in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY.



Roca Rice, Taylor Co., KY (1919-2011)

Roca Rice was the daughter of the late John Walker Gabehart and Minnie Del Smith Gabehart. She was born Tuesday, January 28, 1919, in Taylor Co., KY. She died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in Radcliff, Hardin Co., KY, at the age of 92 years, 4 months, and 8 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mannsville United Methodist Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom.

She united in marriage to Edwin L. Rice February 10, 1944. He preceded her in death February 25, 1997.

She is survived by the following:
  • A daughter, Marsha Gail Cecil of Elizabethtown, KY

  • One grandson: Eric Cecil and wife, Katy of Mt. Sherman

  • Two great-grandchildren: Elena Cecil and Elise Cecil

  • One sister: Delilah Jones of Fairfield, OH

  • One brother in law: Paul Forbeck of Elmhurst, IL

  • And two sisters in law: Polly Gabehart of Campbellsville, KY; and Carolyn Gabehart of Harrodsburg, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters: W. Del Gabehart September 4, 1987, Ralph W. Gabehart April 17, 1989, Ernest S. Gabehart December 22, 1984, Weldon Gabehart May 23, 1983, Samuel Creel Gabehart October 25, 1931, Hubert R. Gabehart February 21, 2011, Tommie Forbeck October 22, 2003 and Catherine Dabney July 22, 1998.
