Today, Tuesday, June 14, 2011 is Flag Day

It's the 234th anniversary for the Stars and Stripes

The Governor of Kentucky in common with the governors of many other states, has issued a proclamation making Wednesday June 14, Flag Day. It is suggested that all citizens decorate their homes with the Stars and Stripes. See that Old Glory shall float from all public buildings and churches. It is hoped that our people will give due acquiescence to this patriotic movement. - Adair County News, June 14, 1911.Today - Tuesday, June 14, 2011 - marks the two hundred and thirty-fourth anniversary of the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the flag of the United States. -"JIM"
