The New ACHS Football Coaches received a warm welcome New Head Coach Travis Gay and Special Teams Coach Bill McCullough meet enthusiastic, warm community reception, with a special welcome from LWC Head Coach Chris Oliver and his family. Touchdown Club members prove excellent chefs Click on headline for story plus photos By Kelli ClaypoolNews of Adair Co. High School Football Despite the rain, the Meet & Greet of ACHS Football Coaches Breakfast was a Success! This past Saturday morning, bright and early, the Touchdown Club prepared a full breakfast and invited the community to stop by to have a hot meal and meet the new Adair County High School Football Coaches. For four hours, many showed up to support our football players and to talk with Head Coach, Travis Gay, and Special Teams Coach, Bill McCullough. Even Lindsey Wilson's Football Head Coach, Chris Oliver, and his family came out to welcome the new coaches to Adair County. Not only were we blessed with the support of the community, our Touchdown Club members truly outdid themselves. Up before the roosters, they were in the kitchen frying bacon and sausage, stirring the sausage gravy, and scrambling the eggs. If the success of this event is any indication of the upcoming football season, we are in for a great ride!We would also like to thank the following businesses who donated items which resulted in our success:Fairplay Meat Processing, Walmart, Taco Bell, Wendys, McDonald's, and IGA. Additionally, Tammy Pyles and Anna Alley donated items. As with any event, many hands make light work and we cannot thank everyone enough for their help, donations, and support! -Kelli Claypool This story was posted on 2011-05-16 11:56:57
