Pedro Diaz, 34, arrested in Freedom Church RD stabbing incident

COLUMBIA, KY (2011-05-16) - 34-year-old Pedro Diaz was arrested this morning at 2:19amCT and charged with Assault 1st degree.



On Sunday, May 15 at 11:40pmCT, KSP Post 15 in Columbia, KY, received a call from Adair County Dispatch in reference to a stabbing.

Upon arrival at 3450 Freedom Church Road in Adair Co., KY, units discovered 20-year-old Jesus Alberto Moreno-Sanchez had been stabbed one time during a physical altercation with Diaz.

Moreno-Sanchez, who lives at the residence, was taken to Russell County hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Diaz was lodged at the Adair County Jail. Kentucky State Police Detective Ricky Brooks is investigating.
