ACHS Track & Field has strong showing at regionals

Team awaits statewide comparisons to know if any at-large individual bids to State Meet will be forthcoming. Meredith Murrell gets a third place win in the 400m dash-finishing 1 slot away from automatic State bid

HODGENVILLE, KY - Adair County High School Track and Field team competed in class 2A region at Larue County High School and congratulations are in order to the following ACHS Track athletes on their performances there on Tuesday evening, May 25, 2010:
  • Breann Meeks - 4th place in high jump
  • Krissy Thomas - 5th place in 100 m hurdles
  • Josh Wilkerson - 4th place in 110 m hurdles
  • Madison Brashear - 4th place in the 1600 m race and 4th place in the 800 m race
  • Meredith Murrell - 3rd place in the 400 m dash
  • Hunter DeLucca - 5th place in the long jump and 6th place in the 200 m dash
  • Brittney Taylor - 6th place in the triple jump
  • Krissy Thomas, Meredith Murrell, Breanna Meeks and Brittney Taylor - 4th place in the 4 x 400 m relay
While Adair County had no one to finish 1st or 2nd qualifying them automatically to receive an automatic bid to state competition, the team is hoping for at-large bids once the other regions have completed their competition and times are compared.

The coaches are very proud of all their team members.
