MSC Softball Tournament concludes at LW Park

Games Saturday, May 8, 2010, in Columbia, KY, will determine who gets automatic bid to NAIA National Softball Tournament in Decatur, AL.

COLUMBIA, KY - The Mid-South Conference Softball Tournament was postponed due to storms in Danville, Ky., last weekend and will resume on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at 3pmCT at Lindsey Wilson Park in the Lindsey Wilson Sports Complex, 820 Hanley LN, Columbia, KY, with Georgetown (KY) College, Campbellsville (KY) University and Lindsey Wilson College vying for the tournament championship.



The Blue Raiders have already earned a spot in the championship game with no losses in the double-elimination tournament. Campbellsville and Georgetown each have one loss and will open play Saturday at 3pmCT.

The winner of that game advances to face Lindsey Wilson at 5pmC. with another game scheduled for 7pmCT if necessary.

Saturday's conference champion earns an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship on May 20-26 in Decatur, AL, 2010,

Lindsey Wilson is 44-12 overall this season with a 22-6 mark in MSC action. The Blue Raiders seek their first conference tournament title since 2005.
