We should treat our town with same respect we give our homes

"We are blessed to live in such a great country and nice town. Let's respect it and keep it clean and beautiful" -JENNIFER REDFORD
GUEST COMMENT

By Jennifer Redford

I was on my way to work this morning and was stopped at the stoplight in town on KY 55 just before you get to the Square.

While I was waiting the woman in front of me threw her cigarette out the window.

I could not help but be offended.

I am proud to be an American and I am proud of my town.

I am sure most of you are just as proud.

So why do some want to throw their garbage on it?

This woman in front of me was well dressed, and driving a nice clean vehicle. She obviously treats her property with respect.

All I am asking is that we treat our town and other public areas with as much respect as we treat our own homes.

I am sure we would not appreciate a friend coming to our home and tossing their garbage out on our front lawn or driveway.

So let's not do that in our public areas either. We are blessed to live in such a great country and nice town. Let's respect it and keep it clean and beautiful.
