Obituary: Donna Raye Karnes, 54, Columbia, KY

Mrs. Karnes was a member of a large, respected Adair County family. She was a caregiver and attended Freedom Church of God

Donna Raye Karnes, 54, of 1746 South Highway 55, Columbia, KY passed way suddenly Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 11:37amCT at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Columbia, KY

The funeral service will be Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 1:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia, KY with Bro. Carli Riggs officiating. Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery, 1275 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. The family request visiting after 4:00pmCT on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



She was born June 16, 1955, the daughter of the late George and Pauline (Rigney) Scearce of Adair Co. KY She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Dude" Karnes on January 7, 2006.

  • Donna is survived by the following: One daughter: Crystal Spoon and husband: Terry of Columbia, KY

  • Two sons: Chris Karnes of Columbia, KY; Anthony Karnes & fiance, Aleisha Bryant of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Tommy Scearce and wife Kay of Columbia, KY

  • Eight grandchildren: Ryan Tungate, Amber Weddle, Colby Thompson, Tyler Karnes, Jordon Spoon, Jacob Spoon, Kaydence Karnes and Robert Karnes

  • A special friend: Linda Kinnett and by several nieces nephews and a hostof friends
Donna was a caregiver and homemaker, she attended the Freedom Church of God.
