Feedback: Thanks for information on Clemens kids

About: Dates of lives of Clemens children anachronistic to story

To the editor, CM

I would like to thank the reader who supplied the information on the Clemens children.

This really helps clear up a long on going story surrounding the death of the youngster who was buried at the original Gilmer cemetery.

As this person has stated it would of virtually been impossible for any of the Clemens children to have been a playmate with the young man.

I had heard this story told many times by my grandfather Holland Harvey in the past.

It goes to show how the true stories can become somewhat twisted later on as it is past onto later generations.

Now this makes me curious as to who this young man could of actually been?

Was he in fact killed by a Union soldier or was his death due to natural causes?

I suppose one may never know.

Again I thank you for the information.

Regards,

s/Tony Harvey
