By Stephanie Daffron

The state police will be performing rolling road blocks in the east and west bound directions.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinets District 8 office advises traffic to use caution, reduce speed, and to expect delays.

2007-09-16 - M.P. 48.3, Louie B. Nunn Parkway - Photo By Ed Waggener.
Bridge Beams will be installed in the coming, week creating rolling roadblocks at milepoint 48.3 on the Louie B. Nunn. The span is for the bridge in the controversial southern terminus (KY 61 S to KY 55 S) of the Columbia Western Bypass, A growing number of Adair Countians now consider the stretch of the bypass from KY 61 south to KY 55 a boondoggle project. As this section is becoming a reality, more and more Adair Countians are scratching their heads, asking, "Why?" For the cost of the spur plus a few more dollars, Columbia could have had a badly needed Eastern Bypass. With the LBN Parkway as a component, and the Eastern Bypass, Columbia would have been completely surround with bypasses.
