Fire department stops grass fire off KY 704

Approximately two acres of land burned before firefighters could extinguish a grass fire off KY 704 in the Tabor Community yesterday afternoon.

Eight firefighters from the Adair County Fire Department were on the scene for around 30 minutes.



The firefighters responded to the scene at 1:36pmCT on Thursday, September 13, 2007, to 253 Jack Smith Road to property owned by Lenuel and Bonnie Smith.

(PSA)Adair County Fire Department dues are payable for July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008Fire dues for the Adair County Fire Department run from July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2008 and are now due and payable. Send to PO Box 96, Columbia, KY 42728, or drop off in our drop box on the side of the fire station on Merchant Street in Columbia, or pay to any firemen.
