Holmes School reunion Oct. 20, 2007 at Bearwallow

Did you or someone you know attend as a student or teacher at the one room school that was located off KY 206, beside the road which connects Bull Run and Vester?

The school began in approximately 1918. The State closed it in 1957.

We will have the first Holmes School Reunion on Saturday, October 20, 2007, at the Bear Wallow Church Fellowship Hall, located approximately 6 miles East on KY 206, just west of Christine, on the Liberty Road.



Doors will open at 10:00amCT. The reunion will until 3:00pmCT.

Dress is informal.

Please bring all pictures of Holmes School students and any pictures of the building that you have or any history information that you can share.

A potluck meal will be served at noon. Students/teachers (1918-1957) are requested bring your favorite food & drink (no alcoholic beverages, please).

Your spouse or friends & family are invited to this first first Holmes School Reunion. If you know a former Holmes School student who currently lives out of Adair County, please send this announcement to them. For more information telephone Sue (Pendleton) Bailey at (270) 384-4067.
