Jones & Bourland to build Road 80 bridge replacement Signs are being unveiled in Columbia detouring Kentucky E80 traffic from Columbia to Russell Springs to the Louie B. Nunn Parkway and and also detouring traffic across Green Hills Road from Ky 206 to just East of the Road Eighty replacement construction project. According to the Kentucky Transportation web site, the contract for the KY E 80 Russell Creek bridge replacement was awarded August 9, 2007 to Jones & Bourland, Inc, Prestonsburg, KY. The contract amount is $1,756,803.96. The flags on the Adair County's Six-Year Plan do not show that the new KY 61 project from the LBN Interchange on KY 61 has been awarded. That project is expected to be let in the next few weeks, very likely before the November 6, 2007, general election. Another project on the SYP still not awarded is for the reconstruction of KY 704 10 miles south of Columbia, KY, on Scenic KY 704 which will eliminate two dangerous curves on Dug or "Insurance" Hill, and install a guardrail there.
