ConnectKentucky wants email on how broadband has helped

Adair County individuals' own stories, about business use, community news, personal use of broadband internet or maybe how broadband has saved money are suggestions. -CM

Sage Cutler, manager, Central Region ConnectKentucky, is asking internet users to send letters about how broadband access has enhanced their lives.

"The Commonwealth is now home to a broadband infrastructure unlike any other in the nation allowing both a higher quality of life for citizens and greater opportunity for the state to compete in the global economy. Broadband Internet technology is changing the face of Kentucky and the lives of Kentuckians," he writes.

"As we move forward, its important that the testimonies of Kentuckians whose lives have been enhanced by having broadband begin to be heard so the world can better understand on a personal level what it means to have 93% broadband availability across Kentucky. Wed like to know how broadband has positively impacted your life," he continued.

The letters should bring it down to the local level. Cutler wants personal items, from day-to-day users. "Your personal account can help us demonstrate to other Kentuckians the ways they can use broadband and related technology to benefit them in their day-to-day lives. It can also help us demonstrate to the world the value of this technology on an individual level," he said. "If you would like to share your story about how gaining a broadband connection has benefited your life, please contact us at broadbandstories@connectky.org."
