Sunday proclaimed Shipyard Safety Day in Adair

Several residents of Adair County work at Evansville Marine Service prompting County Judge/Executive Larry Russell Bryant to proclaim Sunday, July 14, 2024 as Shipyard Safety Day in Adair County. His proclamation follows.

WHEREAS: Evansville Marine Service employs residents of the County of Adair, Kentucky and transports goods to communities along the Ohio River and Green River; and

WHEREAS: Evansville Marine Service has established a strong safety culture; and

WHEREAS: the employees of Evansville Marine Service have embraced safety and environmental protection as top priorities; and

WHEREAS: the owners and executives of Evansville Marine Service have embraced safety and environmental protection as top priorities; and

WHEREAS: a safer workplace ensures that the employees of Evansville Marine Service are better able to support their families, contribute to our community and make an impact in society; and

WHEREAS: it is under significant effort and work that the AEU 2023 Safety Award has been bestowed on our neighbors, friends, and family members at Evansville Marine Service; then

THEREFORE I, Larry Russell Bryant, County Judge/Executive of the County of Adair, Kentucky, do hereby proclaim July 14th as Shipyard Safety Day in the County of Adair, Kentucky and encourage all citizens to recognize the significant impact of safe workplaces and citizens contributing to a productive society.
