The Cane Ridge Revival and Elder Barton W. Stone

From Mike Watson

Early settlers in Adair County were impacted by the revivals that spread across the state of Kentucky.

Brother Paul Patton will bring this period of our history to life. Learn more about the influence of Rev. Barton Stone and the Great Cane Ridge Revival at the next meeting of the Adair County Genealogical Society, at 5pmCT on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Adair Genealogy & History Research Center, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.

In the costume of a pioneer clergyman, this historical presentation comes alive with stories about the greatest camp meeting ever held in Kentucky and the influence of Rev. Stone in the meeting itself and the effect it had on churches throughout Kentucky and surrounding states.

Sponsored by the Adair County Genealogical Society and the Adair Genealogy & History Research Center of the Adair County Public Library. For more information, contact adairgenealogy@gmail.com or call 270-380-1024; or follow our face book history pages.
