Michael Foley, 70, Russell County, KY (1954-2024)

Michael Edward Foley, 70, of Russell Springs, Passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 after a short illness.

He married Barbara Sue Anderson on January 1, 1989. Barbara preceded him in death December 13, 2023. Michael and Barbara shared many years of marriage, they loved to watch UK sports and live life together. Michael was a long time farmer and construction worker.


He was born in Russell Springs, KY on March 17, 1954, a son of the late Marvin and Louise Foley. Michael was preceded in death by three siblings. Helen Foley, Edwin Foley, and Bruce Foley.

Michael is survived by four children Susan (Randall) Adams, Johnathon Mark Blakey, Warren Kendrick (Lisa) Blakey all of Russell Springs, KY. Eric (Celestia) Blakey of Fallon, NV.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jacob (Sarah) Adams, Limerick, Ireland, Logan Adams, Louisville, KY, Shelby Blakey, Summerville, Massachusetts, Johnathon Blakey, San Diego, California, Colbie Keller, Fallon, NV, Holly (Brandon) Massengill, Katelyn (James) Braden both of Russell Springs, KY. He was preceded in death by 1 grandchild Warren Chase Blakey. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren Madelyn, Mason, Brantley, Olivia, Anna, Hensley and Zora.

Michael is also survived by one Aunt Shirley Alice Richard, Milledgeville, GA, he is also survived by two sister-in-law's Lavon Anderson, Jamestown, KY and Ruth Foley of Hubert, North Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as other family friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Cole officiating. Visitation will be after 5 Thursday.

Burial will be in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY.

Family request donations be made to Hayes Chapel Church or Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery and can be made at the funeral home.
