Mervin Tee Wisdom, 80, Burkesville, KY (1943-2024)

Mervin Tee Wisdom of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 at his residence, having attained the age of 80 years, 8 months and 17 days.

He was born in Burkesville Tuesday, July 20, 1943, the son of Glavis Lamber and Wilma (Gearlds) Wisdom. He was of the Christian Faith, a member of Hickory Ridge Church of Christ, and a plant operator for Mountain Enterprises.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ancel Wisdom, Shannon Wisdom, daughter, Tammy Simpson, granddaughter, Jessica Simpson, and nephew, Murrel Michael Wisdom.

He is survived by his daughters Twana Estes, Christy Wisdom both of Burkesville, Kentucky, brother, Murrel (& Melanie) Wisdom of Lexington Kentucky, special niece, Lealisa Roach, sister-in-law, Sue Ann Rose both of Burkesville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Tiffany (& Chad) Lyons, Justin Wisdom, Steven (& Shelly) Turner, Airelle (& Brandon) Pease, Tanner Simpson, great-grandchildren, Jarod Lyons, Gracie Kissell, Donovan Lyons, Serenity Lyons, Lilly Wisdom, Creedence Turner, Taelynn Pease, Rylan Turner, Braxton Estes, Alexia Estes. .

The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 1pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville with Bro. Tim Struthers officiating. The family will receive friends Monday April 8, 2024, after 2pm until the funeral hour on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mud Camp Cemetery in Burkesville, Kentucky.
