CPD: Complaint leads to meth arrest

Columbia Police Department

The Columbia Police Department responded with the Adair County Sheriff's Office to a residence on Edmonton Road, just outside the city limits, early Monday morning, March 11, 2024, over a report of multiple prowlers.

Units made contact with parties on the property and located suspected methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia within a vehicle belonging to a male subject.


Johnnie Asbury, 38, of Columbia, was charged with criminal trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine.

Officer Elliot Smith was the arresting Officer. Officer Bradley Bates and Deputy Jason Camfield were also on scene.
