Susan Ann Nokes, 60, Adair County, KY (1963-2024) Susan Ann Nokes, of Columbia, passed from this life on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at home, surrounded by her family. She was 60 years of age. She graduated from beauty college and worked many jobs throughout her life. She loved being outdoors, enjoying the sunshine and warm weather. Susan loved flamingos and going to the beach. She had a contagious smile and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and will be missed deeply by everyone who knew her. Born on June 23, 1963, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was one of two children born to the union of the late James Willard and Shelby Jean Estes Nokes. Susan is survived by her children, Brandon (and Leslie) Nokes, of Columbia, and Reba Jean (and Dustin) Hodson, of Atlanta, Texas; her grandchildren, Riley, Maycee, Asher, Ragnar, Ronan "Rollo", Rune, and Rurik; her sister, Angie Marie (and Allen) Pierce, of Campbellsville; a niece, Shelbie Pierce, of Bowling Green; and her special companion, Robert Biggerstaff, of Columbia. Per Susan's wishes, cremation was chosen, and no services are scheduled. Donations in memory of Susan can be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or to Hosparus Health Green River at www.hosparushealth.org. Arrangements by Bernard Funeral Home.
