Tips lead to arrests by Russell County Sherrifs Office Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston reports that a criminal investigation headed by Deputy Josh Phipps in conjunction with the Kentucky State Police has resulted in the arrest of two individuals on burglary and theft by unlawful taking over $1,000 charges involving an ATV and firearms. The suspects, Nathan Harden of the Millerfield area in Adair County was arrested on 11/28/2023 and Jonathan Atchley of Russell County were arrested on 12/07/2023. With tips from Russell and Adair citizens a 2023 model Honda atv was recovered on Thursday of last week after a land owner reported information to Sheriff Polston of an atv near his property off Breeding Road in Russell County and A Jones Rd in Adair County. More arrests could be forthcoming and the investigation is ongoing. Sheriff Polston reports that they still are working on cases involving theft in the county. The Russell County Sheriffs Office wishes to thank everyone for the tips and information which led to these individuals arrests.
