Letter: Fiscal Court response to the occupational tax

Della Hare writes:
I totally agree with Mary Bardin on her letter. No one really wants new taxes but in order to have this county in better shape this is sorely needed! What Mary wrote about the Sheriff's department and the jail is so true. We have a good sheriff and a good jailer but how can they do their jobs without the money to work with? I used to go to the jail to lead a Bible study before Covid came along and believe me those employees deserve much more than they earn.

There is so much this county needs and cannot be provided with. It's so difficult to believe Adair County is 1 of 10 counties out of 120 counties in the state of Kentucky to not have this tax! Thank you Terry Hadley for voting yes! What is the problem with the rest of the Fiscal Court for voting this down?
