Liberty Tourism Commission hosts regional meeting

Columbia-Adair County Tourism has been going through a transition and is not through with changes yet as we learn how to put things together to be the best future for both city and county.

Liberty Tourism & Convention Commission hosted the monthly meeting of the Southern Kentucky Vacations Tourism 10-County Region.



Present at the March 9, 2023 meeting were Michelle Perry, McCreary Tourism; Heather Cundiff and Shelby Hatter, Liberty Tourism; Karen Hackett, KTD; Courtney Hall, KDT; Kristie Wooldridge, KDT; Paige Nickel, Adair County Tourism; Linda Waggener, Columbia Tourism; Danielle Wilson and Crystal Moore, Lake Cumberland Tourism Commission; Julie Dennis, Taylor Country Tourist Commission; Rhonda Nix, KDT; and Leslie Ikerd, Somerset Tourism.

Lights of Liberty is new in Casey County

Heather Cundiff, director of the Liberty Tourism & Convention Commission, shared the new things going on in Liberty when her department hosted the March meeting of the Southern Kentucky Vacations Tourism 10-County Region. The group meets in a different county each month and will meet in Adair in April.

A highlight of the monthly Southern Kentucky Vacations Tourism regional meeting is that the meeting ends with food at a local restaurant. Lunch for the March meeting hosted by the Liberty Tourism Commission was at the Bread of Life Cafe where you enjoy down home country cooking and know that you are helping others with the investment. This plate includes pinto beans and bbq chicken with a little hot sauce, tea and a side of peach cobbler.
