Chasing items with an educational theme By Mike Watson This week at the Genealogy & History Research Center we have been chasing items with an educational theme. There are numerous paper and photographic items that may fall into this category, including: school building photos, school group photos, reunion photos, class lists, school censuses, teaching tools, old school books, school yearbooks/annuals, teachers' certification, diplomas, newspaper advertisements for school's opening or closing dates, newspaper articles about teachers, students, parties and programs, graduations, pie suppers, Christmas trees, schools being discontinued, buildings being constructed or sold to be replaced, and much more. Attached to this article are two Adair County News advertisements from the early days of the twentieth century. This story was posted on 2023-01-29 11:12:51
