Letter: Snowstorm of 1960

Victoria Pike writes:
Thank you for sharing these pictures. I arrived on March 17, 1960, at Rosary Hospital in Campbellsville. I've heard stories of how rough it was getting to the hospital. Momma said the snow was up to the window sills on our house. The county road crew had to clear a path out for them to get out. Maurice Moran was on the road crew at that time. Had never seen pictures of how it actually was then. Sure hope we don't see snow like this again for sometime to come.

I still live in that house 62 years later where the snow was up to the window sills with the famous cat Zippy and around 40 Pampered angus cows and Bud the bull. What a wonderful life we lead. Merry Christmas all.
