Call to Area Artists: Adair County Art Exhibit

The Adair County Arts Council has announced an exhibit to showcase visual artists from Adair County. All media in 2 dimensional or 3 dimensional art forms are accepted. The exhibit will run October 10 through November 11, 2022, in the Lucretia C. Begley Gallery at Lindsey Wilson College. Open to the public, a reception will be held at 5pmCT on October 13, 2022.

Artworks for exhibit should be delivered to the Lucrecia C. Begley Gallery in the Slider Building at Lindsey Wilson College on Friday, October 7, between 10amCT and 4pmCT, or between 10amCT and NoonCT on Saturday, October 8, 2022.

Artworks submitted will be approved by a committee of Arts Council members. Artists will be notified by October 10, 2022 for acceptance in exhibit.


Guidelines:
  • Artists from Adair County and surrounding area are encouraged to submit works for exhibit.
  • Open to all 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional visual art forms, media, and styles.
  • Works must be ready for display with suitable frame and wire for hanging 2D works or mounts for 3D forms if needed.
  • Size up to 60 inches in any dimension, including frame and all materials; weight up to 50lbs.
  • Original artwork only. No reproductions. Examples from editions (printmaking) are acceptable.
  • Artists may submit up to two works.
  • Themes and subjects must be appropriate for general public.
  • Artists must be age 16 or older. Under age 18 participants must have waiver signed by parent or guardian.
  • Complete registration form and submit printed copy upon delivery of work
  • Priority will be given to works created within the past three years.

Pickup of artwork after the exhibit is between 10amCT and NoonCT on Saturday, November 12, 2022. Hand deliveries only.
