Columbia and Adair part of documentary photo project

Documentary photographer Brittany Greeson, an owensboro native who now lives and works in Detroit, was on assignment in Adair County last week. She asked Mayor Pam Hoots to be her guide.

The Kentucky Documentary Photographic Project is an ongoing visual historical archive initiative started in the 1970s with a long range goal to photograph every county in the state of Kentucky over a century. She works with the project a couple of weeks each year.

The photos will be archived at the University of Louisville. Examples from the Kentucky Documentary Photographic Project may be found at kydocphoto.com
