CU: Art Installation inspired by the Clay Hill tornado By Daisy Rodriguez Campbellsville, KY - Azucena Trejo Williams, associate professor of art and design at Campbellsville University, will hold a Faculty Art Exhibition through February 18, 2022, in The Pence-Chowning Art Gallery, 205 University Drive, Campbellsville, Ky. A reception in her honor is scheduled for Friday, February 18, 2022, from 4pmET until 6pmET. Everyone is invited to both the exhibit and reception. Trejo Williams has been a faculty member at Campbellsville University since 2015 and serves on the Patrons of the Visual Arts Board at Campbellsville University. She is an interdisciplinary artist working in installation, photography, video and sound and serves as a docent at the Speed Art Museum in Louisville, KY. She was awarded the Faculty Servant Leadership Award in 2017. In December 2017, she created an ornament that was display on the Kentucky State Senate Christmas Tree. Trejo Williams received a Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism from the University of North Texas in 2004. She also earned her Master of Fine Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2016. She is married to Dr. Shawn Williams, professor of political science and lead professor of political science at Campbellsville University. The gallery schedules this semester is as follows: Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m. until noon, 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays are 3:30 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. The art gallery will be closed March 7-11 for spring break and April 11-18 for the Easter holiday.
