J.C. Bean, 89, Adair Co., KY native (1932-2022) J.C. Bean of Russell Springs passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. He was 89 years old. Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Brother Bill Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10amCT until time for the service on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Bernard Funeral Home. Born on August 8, 1932, in Adair County, he was a son of the late Clarence and Christine Young Bean. J.C. was the owner and operator of Bean's Truck Bodies, and later, owned and operated an autobody repair shop. He also loved to raise a vegetable garden. J.C. was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Survivors include one son, John David Bean, of Hendersonville, Tennessee; two daughters, Janet (and Todd) Stearns, of Jamestown, and Donna Bean, of Russell Springs; two grandsons, Jared Stearns and Justin Stearns; one brother, Bradley (and Becky) Bean, of Louisville; and two sisters, Jean McClister, of Florida, and Brenda Nokes, of Columbia. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna Maxine Smith Bean, whom passed away July 24, 2020; two brothers, Phillip Bean and Ronnie Bean, and one sister, Euline Tabor. Pallbearers will be Jared Stearns, Justin Stearns, Gary Cain, Jim Cain, Ted Cain, and Ross Morgan. J.C.'s arrangements are entrusted to Bernard Funeral Home.
