Martins to speak at Campbellsville University chapel Nov. 3

By Gerard Flanagan

Campbellsville, KY - Christian singers and worship leaders Jonathan and Emily Martin will speak at Campbellsville University's chapel at 9amCT/10amET on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, KY.

At this time, masks are required for all in-person gatherings on the Campbellsville University campus. The university follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Commonwealth of Kentucky guidelines on best practices.

The Martins are no strangers to CU and have been worship leaders for Centri-Kid over the past few years and are returning chapel speakers.

In their own words, the Martins are a "short, traveling musical family" and often like to refer to themselves as "travel sized." They say it fits them because they have spent the last seven years traveling the country together leading worship and sharing the songs they write.

The Martin's ministry is called "The Word in Worship." They write songs about what God is teaching them through the Bible. Their full-time ministry and calling is to travel across the country sharing these songs and leading worship at church events, camps and living rooms.

The Martins have released three, five-song extended play records (EPs) over the last several years with another set to release soon. Worship Leader Magazine has reviewed and featured their second EP "Set Your Eyes" which was also featured in the 2014 Easter Edition of Song Discovery. The Martins love to use their craft of songwriting and singing to re-communicate the beauty that they discover in the Word of God.

Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.

All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10 and digital channel 15) and are streamed live on the internet at wlcutv.com.

For information about chapel, call the Office of Campus Ministries at (270) 789-5227.
