Cora Lee Mitchell Young, 68, Green Co., KY (1952-2021)

Ms. Cora Lee Mitchell Young passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at her home in Greensburg. She was 68 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmCT on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY, with Rev. Andre' Calhoun, Rev. David Mitchell and Rev. Ryan Hardin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery, Greensburg, KY.

Visitation is requested from 5pmCT until 8pmCT on Thursday, and will continue after 7amCT on Friday.


Ms. Cora Lee Mitchell Young was born September 12, 1952 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Lewis Johnson Mitchell and Faye Lane Scott Mitchell.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of 2nd Baptist Church in Greensburg. She was a retired Phlebotomist. She worked at the Sycamore Memorial Hospital for two years, Jane Todd Crawford Hospital for thirty-eight years, she also worked twenty-five years for Green Hill Manor Nursing Home. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death one sister: Sharon Mitchell, one brother-in-law: Todd Moser and one great niece: Zhon'a Young.

She is survived by two daughters: Marva Schrembs of Greensburg and Myra Brown (Rich) of Greensburg and one son: Marty Young (Kristi) of Greensburg, three brothers: Wilson Mitchell (Ramona) of Marengo, Illinois, Herman Mitchell of Sycamore, Illinois and Kelley Mitchell (Shannon) of Campbellsville, KY, three sisters , Patricia Moser of DeKalb, Illinois, Ida Mitchell-Keller (Tracy) of Cortland, Illinois, Mary Mitchell-Butts (David) of DeKalb, Illinois, eleven grandchildren: Nicholas Sehlinger, Darian and Mya Schrembs, Isaiah and Isaac Young, Lyrik Marr, Ryan, Micahla and Jayla Sears, Caselynn and Remy Brown, eight great grandchildren: Bennett and Luke Schrembs, Rhylee Riggs, Luxten and Ledger Marr, Daxton and Mihlaya Sears and Adler Reardon, a special niece: DeVona McElroy, special great nephew: Zachary Young, plus a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Nicholas Sehlinger, Darian Schrembs, Ryan Sears, Isaac Young, Isaiah Young, Remy Brown and Zack Young

Honorary Pallbearers: Robbyn Jewell, Jack Grimsley, Howard Moore, Jane Todd Crawford Hospital Employees
