Ronnie Earl (Shortie) Ray, Jr., 47, Green County, KY (1974-2021) Ronnie Earl "Shortie" Ray, Jr. of Green County passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He was 47 years old. Graveside services for Ronnie Earl "Shortie" Ray, Jr. will be conducted at 2pmCT on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the Hudson Cemetery in Green County. Ronnie Earl "Shortie" Ray, Jr., son of Ramona Sue Hall Ray of Summersville and the late Ronnie Earl Ray, Sr., was born on Wednesday, January 16, 1974 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was also a self-employed mechanic. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife: Desteny Buley Ray, having united in marriage on September 13, 2014. Other survivors include his children: Tyler Ray and his wife, Angelia of Campbellsville, Chloe Ray of Spencer County, Birley Buley, Bentley Buley, and Taygen Hutcherson all of Summersville; two grandchildren: Tynnlee Rae-Lynn Ray of Shelby County, and Aliza Rae Nalley of Campbellsville; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Lonnie Dale Ray, and Donnie Earl and Christy Ray both of Summersville; special friends: Robin & Dewey Merrell of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial expenses which can be made at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Tyler Ray, Steven Boils, June Bug Ray, Larry Dale Ray, Kenny Posey, Michael Embry, Mickie Ray, Allen Ray Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
