Emergency preparedness - in case of fire September is the month to focus on emergency preparedness - these tips may help. From Emory Kidd, Director Metcalfe County Emergency Management If you need to bug out in a hurry, such as in a fire, you will be grabbing what is important. What is most important? One mnemonic is the five Ps - People, Pets, Pills, Papers and Pictures. Do you have those items handy? For pictures - a family project might be scanning in all of the important ones and saving them on a flash drive and/or in cloud storage and keeping that flash drive in your firesafe box.
