Ophelia Vae Coop, 82, Columbia, KY native (1938-2021) Ophelia Vae Coop passed away on August 28, 2021. She was 82 years old. Her funeral service will be celebrated 10amET on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY, with burial to follow at Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia, Kentucky. Visitation will be 2pmET to 8pmET on Tuesday at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville. Ophelia was born September 7, 1938, in Columbia, Kentucky to the late Oliver and Mary Elizabeth Powell. She was a member of Hikes Point Christian Church. She leaves a legacy of love and affection and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and mother-in-law. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and beloved husband of 56 and a half years, Willie Van Coop; and sister, Trannie Sullivan. Survivors include her sons, Gregory Van Coop (Eva) and Troy Sean Coop; granddaughters, Carissa Coop, Mikaela Coop, and Mackenzie Coop; sisters, Sarah Green (Bob) and Clora Pridemore; and many nieces and nephews.
