Carl Reed Pennington, 89, Center, KY (1932-2021) Carl Reed Pennington of Center passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his home. He was 89 years old. Funeral services for Mr. Pennington will be held at 1pmCT on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East St., Edmonton, KY. Burial will follow in the Asbury-Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Friday, September 3, 2021, and will continue after 9amCT on Saturday at the funeral home. He was born April 25, 1932 to the late Clifton Jill Pennington and Lovie Katherine Matney Pennington. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Wayne Pennington and two brothers. Jimmie and Ray Morris Pennington. Mr. Pennington attended the Center Church of Christ and was a graduate of the Center High School. Mr. Pennington farmed all his life and had a passion for the land. He enjoyed being with his family and friends of the Center community. Carl is survived by a son, Anthony Pennington and wife Sheila of Center. A daughter in law Gayle Pennington of Center. Two grandchildren. April Pennington Walbert and husband Donald of Savoyard and Ashley Pennington Mehmedovic and husband Anel of Bowling Green. Two great grandchildren. Holden White of Colorado and Hunter Nunnally of Savoyard. Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at morrisfamilyservices.com.
