Nelson Jeffries, 73, Greensburg, KY (1947-2021) Olen Nelson Jeffries of Greensburg passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at his home. He was 73 years old. The funeral services for Nelson Jeffries will be conducted at 1pmCT on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. James Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Warf Cemetery. Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and will continue after 7amCT on Sunday until time of the funeral service. Olen Nelson Jeffries, son of the late Olin Jeffries and Ortha Pierce Jeffries, was born on Sunday, December 21, 1947 in Green County, Kentucky. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist Church. Mr. Jeffries was retired from the Marion Adjustment Center and the former Clark Casual Furniture, Inc. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Judd Jeffries of Greensburg having united in marriage on October 12, 1968. Other survivors include a son: Dr. John Michael Jeffries of Hartford, Kentucky; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Janice McKinney, and Wanda & Larry McKinney all of Green County; other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Diane & Bill Johnson of Greensburg, Linda & Rick Robb of Vine Grove, Janet & Glen Judd, and Tim & Susan Judd all of Greensburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Jeffries was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Mike McKinney. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Warf Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
