Teresa Diane (Sissy) Brown, 58, Edmonton, KY (1963-2021)

Teresa Diane "Sissy" Brown of Edmonton passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was 58 years old.

Funeral services for Teresa Brown will be held at 2pmCT on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East St., Edmonton, KY, with burial to follow in the White Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Saturday, and will continue after 9amCT on Sunday at the funeral home.

Teresa was born August 11, 1963 to the late Davis Carter and Lois Pearl Bragg Wilson.

Teresa received her associate degree from Western Kentucky University and was retired from Taylor Regional Hospital after 17 years of service as a coder. Teresa was a member of the Lone Star Baptist Church. She never missed a Sunday going to church there or other places unless her health totally prevented it. Teresa said that was a promise she had made to God. She was an avid reader and quilter. Many of her quilts where displayed on her Facebook page. This was a talent passed onto her by her mother. She loved going out on the pontoon. Teresa battled her illness for several years but never let it stop her. She was always known for the phrase "I am fine." She certainly set an example in her daily walks that all could follow.

She is survived by her husband Johnny Brown. One son, Brian and wife Casey of London, Kentucky. Stephanie Brown of Madison, Tennessee and Ashley Gabow and husband Nick of Glasgow. Two brothers, Mike Wilson of Columbia and Kevin Wilson of Nashville. Two grandchildren of which she adored r Gabow and Seth Brown.

Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at morrisfamilyservices.com.
