Annual homecoming to be held in Summer Shade The annual Branstetter Park Music Festival and 95th Homecoming will be held Saturday and Sunday, August 21 and 22, 2021. The park is located near the intersection of Highway 90 and Highway 163 about one mile east of Summer Shade, Kentucky. Admission is free. On Saturday the featured entertainers will include Jared Shaw and Friends, The Hornets Next Pickers and Arthur Hatfield and Buck Creek. All shade tree pickers are welcome. Also on Saturday there will be games for the children at 1:00 p.m. and traditional arts and crafts Concessions will include chicken, Mexican hamburgers, pinto beans and cornbread, hotdogs and homemade desserts. The Sunday service will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a community church service. Bro. Willie Dale Westmoreland will deliver the message. Everyone is invited to come and bring a covered dish for the potluck lunch at noon. There will be singing in the afternoon by the southern gospel group Chloe and Kolten.
