Temporary traffic signals added in Burkesville SOMERSET, Ky. - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 8 advises motorists that starting June 16, the KY 90 bridge (mile point 14.1) over the Cumberland River in Burkesville will be temporarily reduced to one lane for cleaning and painting. Temporary traffic signals will be in place on the east and west bound approaches for the lane closure. In addition, the speed limit has been reduced to 25 mph through the work zone and lane widths reduced to 12'. Work is expected to be completed September 30. The starting date and duration of the lane closures may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to allow extra time in reaching their destination.
